Gema began her professional career in the Department of Tax Documentation of the Center for Financial Studies. She then joined the Tax Department of the law firm Clifford Chance specializing in family business advisory and tax implications of national and international corporate restructuring. Subsequently, she joined Rodés y Sala as Director of the Tax Department, specializing in tax advice to family groups and corporate restructuring.

Currently, she is Director and Partner of Mavens’ Tax Department and specializes in corporate and individual taxation, restructuring operations and tax planning, transfer pricing, tax consolidation, management incentive plans, inspections and tax proceedings.

She was designated as Leading Lawyer in her field in Taxes by the legal directory Chambers in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Gema also received the ‘Forty Lawyers under Forty’ award that honors forty featured lawyers in the Iberian Peninsula in 2011.
