Juan Esteban Berger

Mr. Berger is the main partner of Berger, Pemueller & Associates. He is a lawyer and public notary specialized in corporate, banking, administrative and commercial law, offshore corporations, corporate legal advice and wealth management.

He served as the counselor in the privatization program of the Guatemalan Rail Network, as well as Director of Westports Holdings, Director of Telectro and Legal Advisor for Skinner-Klee & Ruiz. He was also a member of the Corporate Division of Shutts & Bowen Law Firm in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Berger earned a Degree as Attorney at Law and Public Notary from the University Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala. He completed a Master’s Degree in International Banking and Financial Management from Boston University and a Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Francisco Marroquin.

Mr. Pemueller is a Lawyer and Public Notary, founding partner of Berger, Pemueller & Associates. He specializes in Real Estate, Commercial, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Immigration and Estate Planning as well as Business Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions.

He served as the Legal Advisor for the National Institute of Tourism – INGUAT and the National Institute for Municipal Development – INFOM. He also was the legal advisor for the City Hall of Guatemala and for the Board of Directors of Expogranel. He has been a member of the Guatemala Sugar Companies Association since 1995 and counsel for the Guatemalan sugar industry.

Mr. Pemueller is an active member of the Guatemala Bar Association, the Inter-American Bar Federation, the American-Guatemala Chamber of Commerce, and CENAC (National Center for Arbitration and Conciliation). He is also an Honorary Member of CARPIN (Aid Committee for the Intellectual and Industrial Property).

Mr. Pemueller has a Law and Public Notary Degree from the University of Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala as well as a Certificate in International Business from the INCAE Georgetown University located in Montefresco, Nicaragua.  He also completed a Post-Graduate Degree in Mercantile Law from Salamanca University in Spain.
