Alicia Palacios Piedra
Alicia has a degree in Business and Economics, with specialization in foreign trade from the University of the Americas in Ecuador. She has a certificate in taxation and graduated with a Masters in Taxation from the Andina Simón Bolívar Universit. She also obtained two certificates in International Standards of Financial Information (NIIFs) from Monterrey Technology Institute and the University of Aconcagua. In addition, Alicia has participated in different specialization courses such as: the Foreign Trade School Institute of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, Import and Export Procedures, Tax Reforms, Project Management and Ontological Coaching.
In the beginning of her professional career, Alicia worked as Assistant Manager of the Tax Division of Andersen & Co.’s Ecuadorian branch for one year. Subsequently, she joined the firm Profile Consultores, a correspondent of Moore Stephens International, as part of the Foreign Trade Consulting Division, where she delivered advisory services related to the application of laws regarding tariff matters, special regimes, free trade zones and imports and exports in general.
In March of 2001 she joined the professional team of Consilium Consultores as partner and actively supports the firm’s tax accounting advisory and foreign trade areas.
